FAQ

General questions

The wines that are offered for sale come from wine lovers who are parting with their bottles for various reasons. This may be due to the age of the wine, a change in drinking preferences or because they need to make room for new wines. For these sellers, it is usually particularly important that their wines have always been stored well and come from trustworthy sources. We check this thoroughly to ensure that the quality of the wines is impeccable.

The creneaux auction house plans 4 to 6 auctions a year, spread over the entire year. Each of these auctions offers an exclusive selection of wines from collectors’ hands.

Purchase questions

In creneaux auctions, a premium of 10% of the final price is charged on the highest bid. In addition, statutory value added tax (VAT) will be added to the buyer’s premium. These fees serve to cover the auction costs and are binding for every buyer after a successful bid.

Example: If your highest bid is €1,000, a 10% buyer’s premium (€100) plus VAT will be added to the buyer’s premium, so you would end up paying €1,120. All fees are communicated transparently before the auction so that you have an overview of your total costs.

Yes, you can collect your purchased lots after the auction. As soon as payment has been completed and a collection date has been agreed with us, the wines will be ready for collection. We will ensure that your wines are safely prepared for you.

Yes, we are happy to ship your purchased lots. However, the shipping costs may vary depending on the type of wine, as the packaging costs depend on the bottle size and the special requirements for shipping wine. For exact information on shipping costs and details, please contact us at office@creneaux-weinauktionen.at.

At creneaux wine auctions we offer you a secure and easy way to pay your invoice. Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer.
This method ensures maximum security for both buyers and our auction house. Through the bank transfer process, you have full control over the payment and can be sure that your transaction will be handled confidentially and transparently.
After you have purchased your lots, you will receive a detailed invoice with all the necessary bank transfer information. Your trust is our priority and we want to ensure that the payment process is smooth and secure for you.

Yes, bidding at creneaux wine auctions is completely free.
Unlike some competitors who charge a fee to register or participate in certain auctions, you can bid with us at no additional cost. We place great emphasis on transparency and want you to be able to concentrate on the essentials – your love of wine and finding special bottles.
Costs are only incurred if you successfully bid for a lot. In this case, you only pay the hammer price plus the corresponding buyer’s premium and any shipping costs. We endeavor to disclose all applicable fees clearly and comprehensibly in advance so that you always have an overview.

You have 14 days after the auction to pay your invoice. This fixed payment term ensures that the entire process runs efficiently and smoothly so that your wines reach you as quickly as possible. The faster the payment is made, the sooner we can initiate shipment or arrange a collection date.
